Declan Lynch has been involved in the fire door industry for over 20 years. During this time he has worked extensively with door manufacturers, joineries and installers. Declan has significant experience at project level both in Ireland and the UK.
Declan has worked on wide range of residential and commercial projects with fire doors including Apartments/housing developments, Offices, Hotels, Hospitals and Nursing homes. Projects of note include.

In recent times Declan has overseen the upgrading of certification for Seadec Fire Doors from BS 476 to EN 1634 for the majority of Seadec fire doors, this change has involved managing an extensive range of tests. As part of this work a far wider ranging scope of accessories and Ironmongery were approved for use with Seadec fire doors. These changes provide greater confidence and also choice for Architects, Designers, Builders and Door Kit Manufacturers when selecting Ironmongery and accessories to use in the fire door kits.
Declan supports and assists Architects, Designers, Builders and Doorset Manufacturers in selecting the right products for their projects. About Declan Gorman
Declan Gorman has been involved in the Internal door Industry since 1999 and has extensive experience across the industry having worked in retail, door set manufacturing and distribution. Along with this industry experience, Declan has completed various courses in Business Leadership, Management and Sports Science.
In 2004 Declan Co-founded Seadec, since then Seadec has grown to be one of the leading importer and distributors of internal timber doors into the Irish market. Seadec distributes to Doorset Manufacturers, Merchant, and Specialist Door Retailers.
Declan has maintained the philosophy from day one, that Seadec’s customers deserve quality products with top class customer service. This philosophy has kept Seadec positioned as a top brand name and reliable partner for second fix requirements for Residential and Commercial projects.

Seadec Lunch & Learn
We provide a concise and informative presentation in which the attendees are educated upon the information that is essential in understanding Fire Doors. Declan Lynch, Seadec’s Fire Door Specialist provides the presentation and upon completion of the one to two hours training you are rewarded with a Certificate of Completion.

BIM Models
Irmade are a leading European producer of both EI30 and EI60 fire doors and we are delighted to partner with them. Our European fire certificates for Irmade doors are very comprehensive in there scope and offer a lot of possibilities when it comes to ironmongery selection. BIM drawings are available on request. Upon special request we will gladly provide you with our list of BIM models to aid you during your design process. Seadec Fire Certificates
At Seadec we realise the importance of correctly certified fire door sets. Since Brexit, the market demands that all fire door testing for internal door leafs should be to the european standard EN1634.1 rather than the previous british standard BS476.22.
We have therefore re certified our most popular fire doors to EN1634.1. Building regulations note that the only approved document to certify EN fire rated door sets is EN 13501.
